Doing the Works of Jesus: Embracing His Mission Today

  • by

My dear fellow Transformer

Imagine walking the dusty roads of ancient Judea, witnessing firsthand the miracles, the compassion, and the unwavering faith of Jesus.

His presence was transformative, His actions a testament to divine love and power. In John 14:10-12, Jesus shares a profound promise: “Don’t you believe that I am in the Father, and that the Father is in me? The words I say to you I do not speak on my own authority. Rather, it is the Father, living in me, who is doing his work. Believe me when I say that I am in the Father and the Father is in me; or at least believe on the evidence of the works themselves. Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father.”

These verses are not just historical accounts; they are a call to action for every believer. Understanding and doing the works Jesus did is an invitation to participate in the divine mission, to bring healing, hope, and transformation to our world.

Understanding the Works Jesus Did

To truly embrace the works of Jesus, we must first understand what He did during His earthly ministry. Jesus’ works were multifaceted, encompassing miracles, teaching, compassion, and unwavering faith. His miracles demonstrated God’s power over nature, sickness, and even death, showing that nothing is impossible for God. From turning water into wine to raising Lazarus from the dead, Jesus’ miracles were signs of the Kingdom of God breaking into our reality.

Jesus’ teachings were revolutionary, challenging societal norms and religious legalism. He taught about love, forgiveness, humility, and the coming of God’s Kingdom. His parables were rich with wisdom and insight, offering profound truths about God and His ways.

Compassion was at the heart of Jesus’ ministry. He reached out to the marginalized, healed the sick, and provided for those in need. His interactions with the poor, the outcast, and the sinner showed the boundless love of God for all people.

Doing the Works of Jesus Today

Jesus promised that those who believe in Him would do the works He did and even greater things. This promise is both inspiring and challenging. It calls us to step out in faith, to be vessels of God’s power and love in our world.

But how can we do the works of Jesus today?

Embrace Miracles with Faith: Believe that God can work through you to perform miracles. Pray boldly for healing, provision, and breakthroughs, trusting in God’s power to intervene in supernatural ways.

Teach and Share the Gospel: Like Jesus, share the good news of God’s Kingdom. Use your voice, your actions, and your life to teach others about God’s love, forgiveness, and grace. Be a living testimony of His transformative power.

Show Compassion: Reach out to those in need with compassion and kindness. Serve the poor, comfort the hurting, and offer hope to the hopeless. Let your actions reflect the love of Christ to everyone you encounter.

Live with Unwavering Faith: Demonstrate faith in every aspect of your life. Trust in God’s promises, rely on His strength, and walk in obedience to His will. Your faith can inspire others and draw them closer to God.

Pursue Greater Works: Jesus said we would do even greater things. This means stepping into new realms of faith and service, expanding the impact of God’s Kingdom. Innovate in ministry, seek fresh ways to serve, and be open to the Holy Spirit’s leading.

Living Out the Promise

Living out the promise of doing the works of Jesus is a journey of faith and obedience. It requires us to be in tune with God, to seek His guidance, and to be willing to step out of our comfort zones. It’s about letting God work through us to bring His love and power to a hurting world.

In closing, understanding and doing the works of Jesus is an integral part of our faith journey. As we embrace this calling, we become conduits of God’s miraculous power and boundless love.

Let us step boldly into this divine mission, trusting that God will work through us to do even greater things.

By living with purpose and passion, we reflect Jesus’ presence in our world and inspire others to seek and fulfill their divine purpose.

Love and respect, it will be great to hear your feedback on this one.

In the meantime. Stay bold, stay brilliant, and most importantly, stay BUILDING, working on your transformation!!

Continue to live inspired.

Work with me.

As always, love and respect, unconditionally.
